4 Fall Fitness Activities
Just because the weather is cooling off doesn't mean that you can't still go outside and participate in some fitness activities. Whether it's work or play, there's lots to be done outdoors. Check out these four fall fitness activities and keep track of the calories you burn with your nuyu™ Activity Tracker.
1. Raking Leaves
The trees are turning yellow, orange and red this time of year. Driving around to look at the changing colors is a great way to spend the afternoon with your family, but what about when you return home to a yard full of dead leaves? Turn this seasonal chore into a family exercise session. It may not be a traditional activity or sport, but it'll definitely get your heart pumping and your limbs moving. As you walk around your yard, your nuyu™ Activity Tracker will measure the steps you've taken and the calories you've burned. Once you've got all the leaves into big piles, compost them and use the results to fertilize your flower bed in the springtime.
2. Apple Picking
This season, take a trip to the local apple orchard and hand select the juiciest, tastiest fruit they have to offer. Walking around the orchard is a great exercise for the whole family. And when you return home, you'll have plenty of fruit to bake into pies, turn into spreads or dip into some salty caramel. Use all of your apples in these fun fall recipes.
3. Walking and Jogging
Winter isn't here yet, so you can still go for your daily walk or jog. Before long, you will have to contend with snowy winds and icy sidewalks, so you should make the best of it while you can. Clip your nuyu™ Activity Tracker to your jacket lapel with its convenient magnet clip. Make a goal for yourself and see if you can reach it before the first snow of winter.
4. Pumpkin Carving
This activity may not seem like a workout, but it'll still keep you active. Head on down to the local pumpkin patch and pick out a great looking gourd. Carrying a giant pumpkin to your car is like hefting a medicine ball, when you think about it. Even the carving itself can be labor intensive - yet fun - depending upon the intricacy of your design.
